MY MONEY MY VALUES: CORPORATION LIST

**UPDATE 12-8-2012: Check out American Family Associations company "Naughty or Nice" List... you'll be surprised which which companies are against Christmas (Banana Republic, Gap, etc.)

Though personal beliefs are both carefully respected and vigilantly protected in the United States of America, it is an entirely different matter when a publicly-traded corporation invests their financial resources to promote morally-questionable behavior or politically-driven intentions. This forces an unnecessary moral choice onto the consumer, while simply engaging in the act of shopping, and makes their purchase an indirect political contribution to an agenda they may or may not support. Nowhere is this more evident in today's society than with the issue of "redefining" marriage.

It is in the foregoing light, that I am creating this list (and encouraging contributions to this list), so anyone may see quickly what corporations (not individual employees but the corporations themselves) are financially supporting.

Corporations (alphabetical) that have financially contributed to the promotion of  "redefining" marriage:
General Mills Corporation (sign petition so GM knows you will not support this)
  • Betty Crocker
  • Good Earth
  • Muir Glen
  • Big G Cereals
  • Green Giant
  • Nature Valley
  • Bisquick
  • Haagen-Dazs
  • Old El Paso

  • Wheaties
  • Fruit Snacks

  • Yoplait (formerly my kids favorite, but Dannon is better and has the same flavors)
  • Gardetto's
  • Monsters
  • Yoplait France
  • Gold Medal
  • Mountain High
The Home Depot (they've been really involved see here. Go to Lowe's instead)

Please suggest additions to this list in the comments below (we value your feedback and we want this list to be as up-to-date as possible). Thank you and let's put our money where our values are.

  1. It is my understanding from emails my dad has forwarded to me from a family organization that Home Depot is a big supporter of gay marriage, too. I haven't researched it, though. I almost wish I hadn't seen your list, as my family loves Nature Valley and Yoplait, and Larabars have been very kind to me. I guess I'd rather know, though. I was actually going to start making our own granola bars. This is all very disconcerting.I can't believe that so many companies contribute.

    1. Candice... I feel your pain ;). We loved Yoplait too, but we adapted and now we love Dannon even more, they have most of the same flavors and are the same price at Walmart. Also, thanks for the tip on The Home Depot and you are absolutely right, they have financially supported the "gay" rights agenda for some time. I have added them. http://action.afa.net/item.aspx?id=2147496231

  2. A great many things that I purchase regularly are on that list. Looks like I'm going to be adjusting my grocery shopping accordingly.

    1. This is Monita Swank. I had to publish under anonymous because for some reason google won't let me publish on this blog.
