Debunking False Labels of "Bigotry" Against Chick-fil-A

I posted the following screen shot on my facebook page today because I was so upset at what Human Rights Campaign had posted on their landing page:

"Is this America??? Is. This. AMERICA??? How far we have come when the meaning of the word bigotry is blindly applied to a ballot-supported majority, while the elitist-supported minority seething the word are the very ones committing the atrocity. Right on the home page of Human Rights Campaign you will find Chick-fil-A blacklisted for expressing their family-owned business' BELIEFS. Bigotry is 'a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.' The very act of bigotry is an act of aggression - meaning it is an act UPON a belief which has been already expressed. Someone expressing their BELIEF is not the one committing bigotry, but rather the people who descend like wolves to tear that belief down, to express "utter intolerance" for, or to "hate" upon that previously expressed belief who are committing bigotry."

This is the caption I added to the screen shot I posted:

"Target, General Mills, Starbucks, Oreo, etc. have all donated money to homosexual activist campaigns, yet none of them have received the absolute bigotry that Chick-fil-A has been the recipient of. STOP illegal blacklisting and censorship THIS IS AMERICA and the First Amendment still lives!!"

Don't believe the majority of America doesn't support Chick-fil-A's stance either... remember , 32 states have already voted to uphold traditional marriage. Chick-fil-A has more facebook fans than any fast food restaurant I have ever seen, over 5.2 million, and they have gained over 100,000 new fans since they expressed their support for traditional marriage a week ago! God bless Chick-fil-A for their courage in the face of such bigotry - good for them!

Here's a photo of our local Chick-fil-A, taken today, national eat at Chick-fil-A day packed to capacity!

Dan Cathy's official words:

"(We support) the biblical definition of the family unit. I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage. I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about."

Even the LA Times, a liberal newspaper which disagrees with Cathy's stance, has defended Chick-fil-A against this unlawful suppression of Free Speech, saying:

"It was the freedom to express politically unpopular views and to oppose such views that the Founding Fathers fought to establish... As both a private citizen and a prominent public figure, Menino is welcome to abstain from fried chicken sandwiches and urge others to do likewise. It's a different matter if he attempts to trample the free-speech rights of others by using the power of his office to fight against a business license for Chick-fil-A." (emphasis added)

Chick-fil-A doesn't deny "gays" equal eating privileges in their restaurants, nor does it deny "gays" employment with their company - they have done NOTHING against the law. Nothing. We must speak out against all forms of unlawful oppression, even - and especially - when it comes from the very group claiming to be oppressed.

Please share your thoughts but no "bigotry" will be tolerated ;)

  1. Good will be called evil, and evil called good. Its very frustrating that if you have traditional values you're a bigot, or behind the times. Why are we less deserving of respect and tolerance?

    1. Exactly Jackie... I'm so tired of the bigot word being misused, but it is the tactic of all hate-promoting organizations to demonize their enemies... and calling them bigots is a very good way to do that and puts their enemies on the defensive. Thanks for your comment. One thing is certain... those expressing their beliefs should not be discriminated against and that is what is happening. America was established to avoid this very atrocity - infringing on another person's conscience.

    1. Yep... homosexual activists (like the Obama administration) are all about perception that America is in favor of their radical agendas. The TRUTH is, America is not for homosexuality, nor is it for Obama.
